The Story of
Parkview Events

Laura Comer is a seasoned event professional with over a decade of experience working with blue-chip brands in top Chicago and Las Vegas venues.

While earning her MBA in Las Vegas, Laura produced and worked on some of the most exciting events industry-wide. Whether helping the Rolling Stones premiere an exclusive new concert film, product launches for tech giants such as Microsoft and IBM, or a fanciful debut for the Cartoon Network (complete with giant inflatable Rick & Morty characters), Laura has always enjoyed the challenges and fast-paced nature of the event world.

Laura’s passion for hospitality, production, design and project management ultimately ignited her desire to found her own firm.

There was a need in Chicago for more nimble custom fabrication and event production services. Laura saw this as her opportunity to bring the expertise she developed in Las Vegas to the Midwest, and thus Parkview Events was formed.

As owner/operator, Laura designs, project manages and builds. While perfectly comfortable in the board room, she’s also no stranger to power tools in the shop. Her brother, Steve Anderson serves as primary carpenter and jack-of-all-trades, bringing Laura’s designs to life. When additional craftsmanship is needed, Parkview hires local. Parkview has built an incredible installation team, cultivating a culture of utmost professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly Midwestern hospitality.
